DR. SCOTT MACDONALD EXAMINES ALL BREEDER PAIRS AND PETS

Dr. Scott MacDonald visits my Aviary at the end of every  March and September.  He sets up his equipment in my living room and the birds are brought to him one by one.   He administers a mild form of anesthesia before examining the birds.  While anesthetized,  Dr. MacDonald weighs each bird and then internally and externally examines  them - both breeders and  pets.  All birds have been found to be healthy and at good weight.

It is responsible breeder practice to have the birds examined twice a year by an Avian Vet.  Using this policy, any  potential problems can be taken care of before they turn into major issues.  Any suggestions offered by the Vet are appreciated and followed.

Dr. MacDonald's next scheduled visit is Sept. 25, 2006.

Dr. MacDonald has given me his consent to post his picture on my web site.
